OUR WINES

Château d’Escurac’s team’s goal is to make the best wine possible. A wine recognized for its quality approach and which represents the highest level of its appellation. Four wines are produced at the property. Each of them has its own personality and characteristics.

In 1989, Jean-Marc Landureau settled on the property and put all his energy into renovating the vineyard. No more trips to the cooperative!

In 1990, he made his first vintage. While returning to the fundamentals with the vines he had inherited, he enthusiastically embraced new techniques to make the progress he sought.

This continuous and almost obsessive  quest for adaptation and precision was rewarded in 1999, when Château d’Escurac won the 15th Crus Bourgeois Cup, ahead of some of the most illustrious growths in the category.

This exploit has since been repeated as, vintage after vintage, we discover wines that show a powerful, no-nonsense style yet reveal considerable elegance and subtlety – somewhat like their creator.

Pépin d’Escurac

Pépin d’Escurac is a second wine of the Escurac estate. Pépin de Belleville was the name of a Squire, heir to the estate of Escurac. In 1740 after buying out his co-heirs’ shares, he became the owner of all of the fiefdom and lord of the Escurac parish. In 1934 the Landureau family fell in love with this charming property steeped in history.

It can be enjoyed while it is young and fruity. Pépin d’Escurac is a charming wine, with an attractive bouquet of fresh black fruit. Soft in the palate, it can be enjoyed in its youth when it is pleasantly fruity.

La Chapelle d’Escurac

The very pretty 11th century chapel at Domaine d’Escurac harks back to religious life on a medieval lord’s estate, which has branded this place forever and given a name to the wine made here. This second wine of Château d’Escurac is resolutely modern and seeks to embody a refreshing balance between fruity and oaky aromas, offering a sensation of harmony and sheer enjoyment.
